The original Dragon Quest Builders won the PlayStation Awards 2016 Users’ Choice Awards for being one of the top 10 titles voted by players in Japan and Asia as well as a Gold Prize for shipping more than 500,000 physical and digital copies, according to PlayStation Lifestyle. Square Enix will announce the Japanese release date for Dragon Quest Builders 2 during a presentation on August 29 at 20:00 JUST, the company announced. Dragon Quest Builders 2 releases for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on July 12. Technically this 'Dragon Quest 2' was announced for PS4 and Xbox One, but considering Dragon Quest 11 itself doesnt release on Xbox One, it could indeed be a mistaken listing due to the habit that games released on PS4 almost always release on Xbox One rather than Switch. The upcoming puzzle adventure sequel Dragon Quest Builders 2 has officially been given a release date. This was Director Kazuya Niinou’s response:
